The game has many different scenarios to learn from such as sailing, walking and fighting on land & sea. It will let you “run quickly”, teleport to a tavern, shipyard, store and quite a few other places while on land.
But it’s got some features that I enjoyed. It has a decent functionality for an RPG and I thought it was going to be piratey gay. You also get to feel for the game, which It wasn’t bad. Ages of Pirates 2 starts you with the basic fight one on one/ two on one. I took my time as I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game. Once you make your choices, you go into the forced tutorial that I usually have the habit of skipping but this time. And difficulty has 10 settings from sailor to Impossible. Game settings you will have your choice of enemy encounters/sea battles, Auto reload pistols and hardcore gamer.
There are three Hero types: Adventurer, corsair, or merchant along with a choice of nations England, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. In the Character selection screen you have a choice of choosing Diego Espinoza, Peter Blood, or Ian stance and there’s a small bio of each char to read along with. and during set-up you get the choice of English, French, Italian, Deutsch, and Spanish. It comes packed with a DVD, a map of the old Caribbean and a user’s manual. I’ve actually never caught the first Age Of Pirates, so I am very unfamiliar with Age of Pirates 2.
